The National Rail Administration's total supply costs* shall be reduced while simultaneously taking account of the critical success factors of the various supply chains, including:

  • precision
  • flexibility
  • speed

  of deliveries to value added chains

Critical success factors Definition
Precision Ability to deliver at the right place, at the right time, with the right documentation and to the right customer.
Flexibility Ability to procure different suppliers/producers of goods/services within the same product range. Ability to handle significant fluctuations in demand.
Speed Ability to respond quickly to customer requirements. The speed of the supply chain measured as the time from acute need to delivery.
