The Norwegian National Rail Administration is purchasing a total of about 7.5 billion NOK(2009 figures). These are distributed mainly on constructions.
The Norwegian National Rail Administration is related to claims from the Ministry of Government Administration and Reform in connection with the "Strategy and actions for use of electronic business processes (e-commerce) in the public sector".
The main requirement is that 25 percent of purchased volume shall be completely or partially provided through competitions based on electronic processes for interaction with industry.
